The
ServiceMaster Company today announced the appointment of Mary Kay
Runyan as senior vice president, supply management, effective
immediately. In her new role, Runyan will lead sourcing strategy and
execution for all aspects of supply management at the corporate and
business unit levels, reporting directly to the chief executive office.
“Since joining ServiceMaster, Mary Kay has been a transformational
leader, bringing process excellence and a strong customer-centric
approach to the role,” said Robert Gillette, ServiceMaster CEO. “She has
an outstanding track record of leadership and execution since joining
ServiceMaster in 2010, and she’ll bring greater focus to our strategic
sourcing efforts across the company,” said Gillette.
Runyan joined ServiceMaster in 2010 as vice president, fleet, and was
promoted to vice president, strategic sourcing and fleet in 2012. Since
that time, she has been responsible for one of the largest commercial
fleets in the U.S. and has overseen the procurement and implementation
of more than $1.5 billion worth of products and services annually.
Prior to joining ServiceMaster, Runyan served as director of North
American fleet operations for Coca-Cola Enterprises, heading the
management of a $175 million maintenance operation throughout the U.S.
and Canada in support of more than 50,000 pieces of on-road delivery
trucks and material handling equipment. Previously, Runyan spent eight
years with Waste Management, Inc. in a variety of leadership positions
in fleet, logistics and strategic sourcing.
Runyan is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy, with a
bachelor’s of science degree in mathematics and operations analysis. She
began her career in San Diego as an aviation maintenance officer for a
Naval anti-submarine helicopter squadron and subsequently earned a
masters degree in logistics engineering from National University in
California while serving seven years on active duty.
